Peisner Johnson opened its doors in 1992, but the experience had a start many years before that. Like most CPA firms, the founders of Peisner Johnson began their careers with one of the largest CPA firms in the country. OUR HISTORY; Jerry and Andy formed Peisner Johnson & Company in 1992 to allow them to focus on state and local sales and use taxes. Andy and Jerry met while they both held management positions at Arthur Andersen. Between the two, they have over 40 years experience in the tax consulting arena. Their combined skills and interests form a great partnership in which they complement each other. Jerrys first job out of school was as an auditor for the state of Texas. He learned the ins and outs of how the state worked. The firm also benefits greatly from Jerrys technological talent, which assists the firm to build specialized databases for effective refund tracking and filing with various states and multiple vendors. Jerry has designed extensive databases to assist our staff in providing a more efficient and effective refund process. His knowledge of sales and use tax issues combined with this technological ability provides the partnership with a sought-after attribute that attracts many clients. Jerrys expertise provides a solid base for the entire staff to access and master. Andys passion for research enables our firm to focus on refund possibilities that may not have been found by previous consultants.
